I've been reading your posts for a while now and really appreciate the nuance and consideration you bring into your discussions. I know the research is limited and compromised in all areas, but as someone who has long Covid I am really curious about the ways different precautions and measures affect the outcomes or longevity of the disease. I got Covid prior to vaccines being available, but I do wonder if/to what extent vaccination prevents or decreases the severity of long Covid. Is this something that is being studied? When thinking about economic impacts, the economic impact of so many people being disabled by long Covid is bound to be significant but it's not being widely discussed.

Thanks for doing a lot of academic leg work that I don't like doing and probably can't do. But it has encouraged me to continue doing what we've been doing which is treating 10,000 plus cases of covid and having a perfect record with 850 cases, 1 hospitalization and zeroe deaths at the states second largest jail. Your work has had clinical implications. Much appreciation.

Logical, measured, and so well written. As a healthcare worker with natural immunity who resigned rather than take the vaccine (and who also cared for a dozen inpatients with severe vaccine complications), I resonated with every part of this essay. Thank you so much for taking the time to write it.
